Sometimes You Just Have to Wonder…
I’ve seen some weird “fixes” done to older homes, but the one at this clients home is in the running for the weirdest.

Why do I say that? After all, this is a classic 1950 pink bathroom, right? Kinda cute, and in great shape for its age. Sure the toilet seat is the wrong color, and the laminate countertop looks out of place, but nothing unusual about that. Well, let’s look at things from a different angle…

See the weird fix yet? Hint, they “updated” the cabinets at some point, but apparently didn’t know how to put screws into tile. Now do you see it?

Yep, the geniuses behind this “update” built the cabinet extra long so it would PURPOSEFULLY rest on top of the toilet tank lid for support. And then,… they GLUED the cabinet to the wall! I’m not kidding. The only way to access the toilet tank would be to rip apart the cabinetry. Which is exactly what the current homeowners are going to have to do.
Sometimes, you really do just have to wonder what people were thinking…
